Today one of my kids asked, "Mrs. Overman, when were you born?"
Me: "1981."
G: "Did they have gum back then? Like all the kinds we have today?"
Geez, how old do I look?!
Me: "Yeah, and they had color TVs too!"
He didn't get that one.

Isn't it sad though just how many things we did NOT have "back then"? And I'm even older than that.
I remember when I was a new teacher, just 22, and a 5 year old looked at me and said, "Miss C, you look 41 today!" That is NOT what any 22 year old wants to hear!
Today, I'd be GLAD to hear it!!
